Mark Limacher is a career chef, but he’s also more than that. A father of four, and previous chef-owner of two famous and highly awarded Wellington restaurants, Roxburgh Bistro and Cafe Bastille, Mark is dedicated to the culture, cuisine, passion and fashion of food.
Whether he is travelling the world in search of more dining experiences or down at the local fish supplier chewing the fat, Mark has a love of food that goes beyond being a career. There won’t be many a book he hasn’t read or Chef he hasn’t heard of in his hunger for more knowledge and understanding of the possibilities that food offers.
Over his 35 years in the profession, Mark has built lasting relationships with some of New Zealand’s top producers and suppliers, being able to source the best ingredients to ensure the integrity of every dish he creates.
